Great Salt Lake prints for sale!

Last month I was lucky enough to have 6 prints in two different shows, showcasing Great Salt Lake. Three of the prints sold! Thank you!!!!

And I have three left over! FOR SALE! Here’s the deal, I will pay myself back for the printing cost, and then I will donate the remainder to Great Salt Lake Watershed Enhancement Trust.

Encrusted.

Printed on metal by fabulous local printing company Art DeCoeur.

Measures 30” wide by 17” tall. $300

This photo was taken on Stansbury Island. I started my Vigil Project with a scouting day there. These salt formations encrusted all the tumbleweeds. I intended to come back during the Vigil Project proper, but when I did, these mineral formations were gone. Ephemeral.

North Arm

Printed on metal by fabulous local printing company Art DeCoeur.

Measures 30” wide by 10.5” tall. $250

This photo was taken in March of 2024, and the end of my Vigil project. I went to the Spiral Jetty and spent the day walking the shoreline. These little sandbars caught my eye at the end of the day, with the distant Islands in haze.

A Crack in the Sky

Printed on metal by fabulous local printing company Art DeCoeur.

30” wide by 10.5 tall. $250

This was taken on a rather grey day in winter. Just when I thought there was not going to be any light, the sky opened a crack and softly lit Antelope Island and gave me this opportunity to take this panoramic image. Though I have to say I stood there for awhile just awash in the beauty of the light. I say apologies to David Bowie because the title came from the song, “Oh! You pretty things.” Look out my window, what do I see? A crack in the sky and a hand reaching down to me. (The next line is, of course, “the nightmares came today, it looks as though they’re here to stay.” and maybe we’ll have to talk about those nightmares at a later time…)

Prints on metal are beautiful in real life. The finish on these is a nice soft Satin, so they don’t just reflect your window light all over the place. They have hanging wires installed on the back, and cleaning is easy.

If you are interested in purchasing one of these prints, and helping donate to Great Salt Lake Watershed Enhancement Trust, please contact me. If you live locally we can easily arrange for pick up, and if you live away we can figure out shipping.

Great Salt Lake still needs our help. The Utah Legislature did not advance too much new legislation this year aimed at the lake, much less funding than approved than was asked for, and more priority given to the Inland Port.

The Great Salt Lake is drying. Has Utah lost the will to save it?
